Popping popcorn follows a specific process that produces a specific result. You gather the kernels, coat them in oil, expose them to heat and they pop. But not all of the kernels pop at the same time and some don’t even pop at all. The miracle of popcorn is its journey. It starts out as a tiny, compact kernel. With the right stimuli, it bursts into something amazing.
We share this with you as an analogy to the work we do as leaders in the field of education. We take all those in our sphere of influence, coat them in our ideas, knowledge, and passion, stimulate them over time, and eventually they pop into their own unique morsels of awesomeness whether it is an educator to their own students or an administrator to educators.
